With its in-tube 500Wh battery and crank motor, the grey Raleigh Centros Step Through Derailleur Electric Bike 700c has a similar riding feel to that of traditional, ‘analogue’ bikes. It also looks the business! Designed with comfortable performance in mind, this is a machine that will handle commutes and leisure rides alike without you needing to break a sweat!

New for 2018, the in-tube battery keeps the weight low and therefore having a similar riding feel to that of a traditional bike. It is locked into the tube with a key for security and convenience – it can easily be removed. Being a 500Wh battery, it gives you plenty of range – 70 miles in mixed riding can challenge all but the fittest of legs and is really as much as the average rider needs for everyday riding.

With its 700c wheels, the Raleigh Centros Step Through Derailleur Grey Electric Bike is manoeuvrable and comfortable as well. Other comfort equipment include the 63mm travel forks, comfortable saddle, full set of mudguards and a lighting system that is wired into the main battery so you can see and be seen as long as there is charge in the main battery.

The Bosch Active Line Plus motor is perfect for city rides, delivering just the right amount of power as you need for pulling smoothly away at junctions and roundabouts. An improvement on the Active Line motor, it measures the pedal cadence more frequently, adjusting the power output more often and therefore improving the riding experience.

The pedal drivetrain has 10 speeds on an 11-34t chain ring so you don’t have to ask too much of the battery as you climb, while with Shimano M315 Hydraulic Disc brakes it has ample stopping power in all conditions.
