From a maintenance perspective you may only need to take this in to a bike repair shop once a year for an annual service as you might your car. Other machines may need tweaking every few months if ridden regularly. The roller brakes are inside the front and rear hubs of the electric bike and will work even in heavy rain as the mechanisms are sealed inside, away from the elements. This seven speed mechanism allows you to ride even up the hardest city street without relying too much on the electric motor. The bike has a 250 Watt E Motion crank motor that will give you the acceleration you need at a junction, yet has been programmed to release that power in a smooth, safe and controlled way so while you can get away quickly there won’t be a wheelie or wheel spin as you do it. The E Motion motor is supported by a 300 Watt hour battery that should give you 40-60 miles of riding between charges, perhaps only needing to be plugged in twice a week if used a lot.
