Haibike SDURO HardSeven Life 1.0 2019 Ladies Electric Bike
You’re a lady who loves riding out in the sticks (and sometimes around town), and the Haibike SDURO HardSeven Life 1.0 is built around your needs with your comfort and shape in mind. Its 400 watt hour battery and 250 watt Yamaha motor will give you that extra push, be it at the roundabout or as you tackle that muddy slope that might have stopped you on a traditional mountain bike!
SDURO vs XDURO
In recent years Haibike have decided to make it easy for the rider to choose between its lines of electric bikes. The XDURO series is for people who take riding seriously and won’t want to be left out in the rankings. Meanwhile the SDURO series is for those who may still be fit as a fiddle but are more weekend mud warriors than people who eat, sleep and breathe riding.
Life!
Men and women are built differently, and Haibike have recognised this in building a line of electric mountain bikes that suit the woman without adding extra weight or making for any lower quality in the saddle as so many of the German company’s rivals seem to manage. The Life range is a real step up from those bikes that merely have a lower crossbar for you.
Who’s this bike for?
With its 27.5” wheels the SDURO HardSeven Life 1.0 will tackle lighter trails but munch up the miles on a medium length cross country ride, though can equally be used for roads – perhaps a daylight commute on towpaths and railway paths too.
Tell me more!
The Shimano Altus M2000, 9-speed drivetrain runs over a 11-36 tooth cassette, allowing you to tackle the odd hard climb on your route but enable you to blast along the flats at the limited speed of 15.5mph with ease.
With 120mm of travel, the SR Suntour XCM DS steel spring front shocks will absorb those lumps and bumps as you head out in the countryside for those longer rides yet handle the potholes on your road route with ease!
On 180mm rotors front and rear, the Tektro M276 hydraulic disc brakes are perfect for speed control in all conditions.
The aluminium 6061 frame’s geometry is built with the woman in mind. While it has the somewhat lower crossbar it is also built for a more comfortable riding position for the woman’s shape.
On 27.5 inch wheels, the XLC MountainX tyres will handle road and looser track alike.
The Haibike SDURO HardSeven Life 1.0 has a 400 watt hour battery, allowing for a good 40-50 miles of mixed riding.
400Wh battery, Yamaha PW-SE motor and Side Switch display
This bike comes with a Yamaha 400 watt hour battery that is ample for medium length rides where you’re not embarrassed to ask for the odd push of full power as you get about. Rechargeable in just a few hours, you can plug it in in the evening and have a full battery for your next day in the saddle.
The Yamaha PW-SE is a development on the tried and tested Yamaha PW motor and delivers just the power you need where and when you need it. Economical yet delivering just the right amount of power when you need it, this power system is perfect for road and trail alike.
The Yamaha Side Switch display is an LCD screen that shows all your parameters in one place so with just a quick glance you can see just what you want, be it battery life, power setting, speed or distance travelled. You control the power output of the motor with a flick of a switch from your right thumb.
