Viking MT Tobin Electric Mountain Bike
The Viking MT Tobin Electric Mountain Bike brings great spec and range to the entry level emtb market. A tried and tested Bafang rear hub 250w motor is used, coupled with a 10.4Ah battery with 6 month sleep mode capability. Suitable for laying up the bike during the winter months. Controlling the output of the motor/pedal assist is dealt with via a 5 mode LED display on the handlebar which also features a 6km/h walk assist button.
The 10.4Ah battery will cover approximately 28 miles from a full charge. This figure is dependant upon rider style, terrain and rider weight.
Rather than having a throttle, the motor helps you along when you start to pedal. With a 7 speed Shimano drivetrain you can still choose a comfortable gear and select the level of motor assistance you require depending on the terrain. Assisted E-bikes are limited to about 15 mph (25kph) and do not require any form of insurance, should you wish the MT Tobin can be ridden without the battery as a regular bike.
If you want to experience the thrill of some real off-road riding but would still welcome that little extra help when the going gets tough the Viking MT Tobin is the perfect choice. Built around a sturdy lightweight aluminium frame with Zoom suspension forks with Alloy Crown with manual lock-out to help iron out the bumps or fine tune for the flat stuff. Fitted with a super slick Shimano 7 speed transmission system with easy to use Revo Shift gear selector, the MT Tobin has good gear ratio for most terrains.
Offered in two frame sizes of 18 and 20 inch, the MT Tobin will suit a wide range of heights…
