Haibike SDURO HardSeven 2.0 2018 Electric Mountain Bike
The Haibike SDURO HardSeven 2.0 2018 Electric Mountain Bike is ideal for someone who wants to get into electric bike trail riding yet doesn’t want to break the bank.
Features on 2018 edition
The 11-42 tooth cassette has one of the biggest gear ranges on a Haibike MTB, which enables you to do fast descents yet not use too much battery as you climb thanks to the big cog at the back. This has the Sram NX gearing system which, with its X-HORIZON design, reduces chain slap.
At the front of you have a multiple lockout, 120mm air sprung fork. With just a couple of clicks you can adjust your forks to different presets for maximum comfort on different terrain.
As important as the drivetrain are the brakes for speed control. On the SDURO HardSeven you have Tektro hydraulic disc brakes mounted on 180mm rotors that allow for fine speed control even on the trickiest of descents.
The Rodi Black wheels have Schwalbe Smart Sam intermediate tyres that help grip a range of surfaces from slippery mud to loose gravel with ease.
What the Haibike Electric Bike Terms Mean?
Yamaha PW electric drive system
On this great intermediate bike Haibike have fitted the new Yamaha PW electric bike system. Rated at 250 watts, the motor can produce up to 70Nm of torque, and up to 280% of the wattage you put into the pedals. For fast starts and beefy climbs alike this system will serve you well.
The Yamaha LCD display is mounted in the stem of the handlebars, allowing for easy control with the added benefit of being hard to remove in a hurry by a thief.
There are four power modes on the electric assist system of the Haibike SDURO HardSeven 2.0 2018 Electric Mountain Bike that range from power-thirsty High mode that will flatten out the biggest of hills to Eco mode that will give you a longer ride yet require a little more energy from you through the day.
Riding this electric bike you will find that power from the motor comes just a fraction of a second after you put pressure on the pedal, meaning you can pull away very quickly or after braking put the power back on just as surely as you would on a traditional MTB.
The motor is powered by a 400Wh battery that used carefully can produce a range of about 70-80 miles and charged in just a few hours.
