Help your employer help you!

A Government Cycle to Work scheme is not only a great employee benefit but the employer can save money too – every bike processed through the scheme means the employer saves on their National Insurance contributions – everybody wins, and it’s time to let your employer know

PAYE only – sorry
Your employer has to be willing to run the scheme before you can get your bike. This is because the scheme can only run through what is known as a salary sacrifice, where you agree to temporarily reduce your wages to pay for the hire of goods – in this case a bike and equipment. The scheme is available to UK taxpayers who pay PAYE. Please note that the self-employed cannot take part in the scheme.

As an employee that has a voucher and knows what bike you want, the quickest way to obtain a quote is by completing our Government Cycle to Work Scheme Form

By completing the form there is no commitment but with all providers we need to provide a quotation

Please note: Government Cycle to work vouchers cannot always be processed at discounted prices as shown on the site, so in certain circumstances there may be a small percentage up charge on sale prices. I am an employer and I need advice

As an employer needing advice on how to set up with a Government Cycle to Work Scheme or how the scheme process works once set up we recommend visiting the Department for Transport Website and then give us a call if you have any further questions.

In a nutshell: The employer buys the bike for your employee, the employer claims back the VAT and then your employee pays you back out of gross pay rather than net pay, so they benefit at no loss to yourself. The Department for Transport Website also shows you how to account for this.

All we need to do is invoice the employer, we deliver the bike and the employee starts paying the employer back each month.

Please note: Cycle to work vouchers cannot always be processed at discounted prices as shown on the site, so in certain circumstances there may be a small percentage up charge on sale prices. If you would like further clarity on pricing relating to a specific scheme.

When you know the bike and accessories you want you can either contact us by email or by completing our Government Cycle to Work Scheme Form

Step 2: You will be given a quote, and you provide this to your HR department (or whoever is in charge of the scheme at your work), to pass to the specific scheme provider.

Step 3: Once you have requested a secure voucher or letter of collection, your employer confirms eligibility and approves the request. The scheme will send them an invoice for the bike package, and a hire agreement is sent to you to sign. As soon as the bike is paid for, the secure voucher or letter of collection is sent to you.

Key Points to Remember

  • The Government Cycle to Work Scheme is only available to UK taxpayers who are PAYE (Pay As You Earn) employees. Unfortunately, self-employed individuals are not eligible.
