Haibike SDURO FULLSEVEN LT 4.0 Electric Mountain Bike
Want a step up from a hardtail but not quite into electric mountain bike trail racing? The Haibike SDURO FULLSEVEN LT 4.0 is a very good machine for those who are just getting serious about E-MTB riding.
FULLSEVEN 4.0 Features
This is a great step into full suspension electric MTB riding. The 150mm Suntour front forks can be locked out according to the terrain and the rider’s weight, as can the rear shock. With a bit of time tuning this bike for your personal needs, the sDuro FULLSEVEN 4.0 will help you thrash those trails to your personal limits.
For this machine, Haibike have built their own disc hubs that are laced to Rodi disc specific double walled alloy wheels. The tyres that Haibike have fitted are Schwalbe Nobby Nic 27” that are great for dry trails that have slightly wet spots.
For stopping the Haibike SDURO FULLSEVEN LT 4.0 Electric Mountain Bike has Tektro hydraulic disc brakes with a 203mm disc on the front and a 180mm one on the rear, allowing for great heat dissipation and preventing fade from hard riding.
One of the biggest improvements of this machine is the Sram 11-42t gearing, with its wide range of ratios and the X-HORIZON design reducing chain slap.
New Yamaha PW-SE motor
With the Yamaha PW-SE motor. Rated at 250W, it produces up to 70Nm of torque like the one it replaces, but now allows a cadence of up to 110RPM before cutting out.
There are five levels of assistance that you can adjust according to your needs on the trail and through the day. This is controlled through the handlebar mounted Yamaha control system that is extremely easy to use, and shows an estimate of how much farther you can go on the battery at the current power setting, as well as how much battery there is left.
The 400Wh battery can give you a Yamaha-estimated range of up to 80 miles on Eco+ mode but if you cane it on the High setting all day then do expect to run out of juice quite a bit earlier!
As an entry to serious amateur trail riding, this package as a whole is a very good choice.
