What does 2021 bring for Haibike - The flagship e-MTB Brand

Haibike 2021 – What Does The New Year Bring For The Flagship Brand?

After the launch of the Haibike Flyon drive and control system a couple of years back, the German boffins at Haibike have managed to steadily improve on what was already an outstanding range of e-MTB and e-trekking machines. 2021 is no exception! Let’s look at four of these beasts to show you why you’ll probably end up loving them as much as we do!

AllMtn

For someone after an eMTB that will do everything off-road extremely well, then look no further than the Haibike AllMtn 6 2021.

The AllMtn range come with a 29er front wheel and a 27.5 inch rear, a clever design to suit the mountain climbing purpose of the range, but also allowing for optimal ground clearence and .

The Yamaha PW-X2 motor on these beasts kicks out a punchy 80Nm of torque that will give a responsive yet efficient acceleration on slopes you’d never have dreamed of on a traditional e-bike.

One of the big upgrades for the 2021 Haibike AllMtn series is the new carbon fibre frame that is super-light but super-strong. Yes, the 600Wh battery and Yamaha PW-X2 motor makes these a fair bit heavier than the traditional equivalent but their output will maximise the pleasure as this pure all-round off-road machine chews up the trails.

Throw in the Fox 38, 160mm travel forks and FOX Float DPS Performance EVOL Air rear shocks, and you’ll see this is an almost unbeatable machine when it comes to having fun out in the sticks!

SDURO Fullseven LT 2021

Another machine that should get you counting the pennies in your bank is the SDURO Fullseven LT 7.0 FS. Another machine that delights in being away from the smog and hard surfaces of the city, this has 150mm travel RockShox front fork and a 60mm rear RockShox shock. Updated for 2021 is the geometry that puts the centre of gravity super-low, allowing for great agility.

The main reason you’d choose this one over the AllMtn, is the range it gives. One of the issues eMTB riders have long had with their machines is range – you might now feel comfortable after 50 miles in the saddle (don’t ask your butt cheeks for confirmation!) but the battery may well give out after that distance when your thighs might have another 20-30 in them. Though it comes with a 625Wh Bosch PowerTube battery as standard, you can opt for the range extender option that will give you over a kWh of range – a big day in the saddle without having to plug in, in short!

SDURO Trekking 2021

A perennial favourite of ours – and a big seller – is the wide hybrid tyred SDURO Trekking series of Haibikes. They’ve improved on these year on year and 2021 is no exception.

Designed for comfort over long distances, the Haibike SDURO Trekking 4.0 could be a serious car replacement for the commute (if we ever go back to that!) and is certainly a machine to consider if you’re planning on doing a serious e-bike touring holiday. Available in 3 frame variants; Unisex Crossbar, Lowstandover, and Lowstep, all adopting different geometries to suit purpose and targer rider. You’re sure to find the ideal variant within this range!
