The Shimano 9 speed drivetrain has an excellent set of ratios too, with the 11-40t cassette allowing for bigger climbs without breaking so much of a sweat – it can make for economical riding too should you be looking to do big runs every day.
SR Suntour NEX, 63mm travel forks should allow you to not feel so jarred after a bumpy stretch, and may well handle all but the worst potholes the UK’s roads offer up unwitting cyclists.
Michelin Protek Cross 700 x 38c tyres are very road friendly with a low rolling resistance yet will grip even on wet surfaces.

The 250 Watt Bosch CX crank motor peaks at 75Nm, kicking like a mule when you need that extra boost. The 500Wh battery on the lowest power setting should give you around 100 miles of mixed riding as you need. The Bosch CX motor is complemented by the Intuvia control and power system that is smaller yet provides just a few parameters for a quick look as you enjoy your day in the saddle.
