Haibike SDURO HardLife 2.0 2018 Ladies Electric Mountain Bike
The SDURO HardLife series is built with women in mind. It has a lower cross frame but geometry set up to match that and minimise any loss of performance. The SDURO HardLife 2.0 electric mountain bike is set up to be a good all rounder and will even forgive you on the road – perhaps those country lanes between the byways and farm tracks that crisscross the UK’s countryside.

This is emphatically a hardcore all rounder – for those who enjoy the trails, downhilling and cross country adventures as they choose. The gear on the bike reflects this.
You have an 11-42, 11 speed setup on the rear cassette. This provides a huge range of ratios that can allow you to conserve battery as you take on more of the energy in the ride and allow the power assist to only really help you on those steeper climbs. Control of the gearing is with a Sram NX 11 Speed Trigger that provides for fast, accurate gear changes just when you need them.
The 120mm travel Suntour XCR suspension fork is air adjustable and can be switched between presets according to your needs from a switch on the handlebars.
Tektro M286 hydraulic disc brakes have large, 180mm rotors on the front and rear, allowing for efficient speed control even when hot from a blast downhill.
The 27” wheels have Schwalbe Smart Sam tyres that will serve you well, be it on slippery surfaces, cinder track or on tarmac.
Even with the battery attached this is a lightweight machine as e-MTBs go, weighing in at just over 21kgs.
Yamaha PW electric motor
This 250 Watt crank motor can give up to 280% of the power you put into the pedals, and with up to 70Nm of torque you can race off from a standing start with just a quick kick to the pedal. There are four modes of assistance ranging from Eco+ to High mode that you can use according to your needs.
The energy comes from the 400 Watt hour frame mounted battery that will realistically give you 50-70 or so miles on a typical ride. The Yamaha LCD display has a range of parameters that include a battery meter and projected range at the current setting.
