The sDuro Trekking 7.0 2018 Ladies electric bike is ideal for regular commuting over longer distances, for longer leisure rides and some light off road paths.
This bike comes with pannier rack, and front and rear lights (powered by the main battery) as standard.
New sDuro Trekking Features for 2018
This ladies bike differs from the men’s bike in that it has a slightly lower crossbar and the rider sits more upright.
It is built around the Bosch CX Performance motor and has a 500 Watt hour battery that should give you a good 60-80 miles in the saddle under power assist if you ride conservatively. It also has an 11 speed gearing system and updated wheels on the 2017 version.
The Magura MT4 hydraulic disc brakes are great for those who ride conventionally and require minimal maintenance.
The fork has 63mm of travel allowing for most lumps, bumps and smaller potholes in the road to be smoothed out for the rider. There is a lockout feature so you can have a softer ride on less well paved stretches and a more efficient ride on paved stretches.
The Shimano SLX / XT gearing system is used on an 11-42 tooth cassette that allows for a wide range of ratios. This means you will be able to conserve battery more on bigger climbs yet can have a good blast on the downhill stretches – though do remember the motor cuts out when you get past 15mph!
Bosch CX Performance crank drive
With up to 75Nm of torque the 250 Watt motor can kick like a mule when you ask it to – perhaps at a busy roundabout where cars and trucks don’t always look out for cyclists. On the High setting you can get up to 3 Watts for every Watt of power you put into the pedal, allowing for blistering acceleration and a smooth pull up the steep ascents.
The control system display is the Bosch Intuvia LCD screen that shows a number of parameters from speed to how much juice there is left in the battery. With just a click or two with your finger you can adjust the power output from the motor as you ride.
