Haibike SDURO Cross 4.0 2018 Ladies Electric Mountain Bike
A stripped down version of the women’s SDURO Trekking 4.0, this is a good bike for light off-road riding and won’t shy from commutes.
Men’s vs Ladies’ SDURO Cross 4.0
The Haibike SDURO Cross 4.0 2018 Ladies Electric Mountain Bike has the same components as the men’s version but the frame has a dropped crossbar near the saddle and a more upright seeing position than the men’s frame.
Features on the SDURO Cross 4.0
You have a 10 speed, Shimano Deore drivetrain that drives a 11-42 tooth cassette. This means that the rider can use less battery by putting more effort into bigger climbs on the big ring, yet the smaller ring will get you do downhill stretches at whatever pace you like – though remember the motor cuts out at 15mph and you’re on your own power as you accelerate beyond!
Stopping is amply helped with the Tektro hydraulic brakes on a big 203mm front rotor and 180mm rear rotor. Hydraulic disc brakes afford better control with less fade, perhaps on a tricky downhill section where you can’t go to top speed too often. The brakes themselves require a lot less maintenance than Vee brakes.
The Haibike SDURO Cross 4.0 2018 Ladies Electric Mountain Bike has Suntour NEX 63mm forks with lockouts, allowing for a smoother ride over smaller bumps and the opportunity to adjust the ride according to the terrain.
You have Schwalbe Smart Sam tyres that love the road yet won’t slip too much on a slippery path.
Though you can add mudguards made by Haibike separately, if you plan on rides in low light conditions we recommend you consider the SDURO Trekking 4.0 as the lights are wired into the main battery. This is a more leisure oriented bike than its Trekking cousin.
