Folding away into a small size, you can easily fit this bike in a cupboard at home, in the luggage area of your train carriage or slot it in the boot of a small car – this is a very nice and compact machine for all sorts of needs. At a relatively light 22kg you can move it through a Tube or train station concourse without breaking a sweat too.
Once unfolded, you’ll be impressed at the 30 or 37 mile range that comes thanks to its 36V, 8.8 amp hour or 10.4 amp hour pannier mounted battery. This is controlled through an intuitive controller on the handlebar, that has a handy battery indicator for peace of mind on a longer run. The battery can be charged in as little as four hours, perhaps during the day at the office.
The 250 watt front hub motor has a lot of torque, meaning for quick starts at the junction or when you need that extra kick in busy traffic. Supporting this you have a Shimano seven speed drivetrain that enables a good range of gears from difficult uphills to fast downhills – though do remember the motor cuts out at 15.5mph, meaning it is down to your legs to accelerate beyond!
