The Yamaha PW-X drive allows for two rings on the front. With these two rings on the front, you have a choice of up to 20 different gears on an 11-40t rear cassette to choose from, allowing for a much greater range of speeds according to the incline or decline of the track or trail ahead. Using Shimano XT M786 Shadow Plus 10 Speed gears and Shimano Deore M6000 Rapidfire thumb trigger rapid fire gear changers, speed and accuracy of gear changes are guaranteed.
Stopping is with the Maguro MT4 single piston hydraulic brakes on 180mm rotors that are light but efficient for most terrains. They are extremely low maintenance, meaning you spend less time working on the bike and more time out on the trails having fun.
The wheels are Haibike hubs and 27.5”, 35mm wide Rodi alloy rims that grip the trail using Schwalbe Nobby Nic Evo tyres that are extremely good all rounders for whatever you want to do in the great outdoors.
At the front you have SR Suntour Raidon XC-RL-R that can be switched between presets according to your needs for the ride that day.

Yamaha PW-X system
The power that makes this electric mountain bike go is the Yamaha PW-X eBike system. It is a 250W motor that can give you up to 320% the wattage you put into the pedals at a peak of 80Nm of torque. It has five settings – 'Eco+', 'Eco', 'Standard', 'High' & 'EXPW' (Extra POWER). Using the 500Wh battery you have a brand-claimed 110 miles on Eco+ setting – bank on 70 with sore legs at the end! The handlebar mounted LCD display shows you a range of parameters according to your needs on a particular leg of your trip.
