All FreeGo Electric Bikes are powered by Lithium batteries. These are the most efficient batteries to store large amounts of energy and will last several years if looked after properly. All current FreeGo bikes are 36V. The capacity of the battery is measured in Amp Hours (Ah) – this will affect the range the bike can travel as opposed to the power it can deliver to the motor
A 10 Ah battery will typically have a range of 25-40 miles whereas a 16 Ah battery will typically have a range of 35-60 miles
These ranges are dependent upon several factors including riding style, weight of rider and power assist level used. A full charge will take approximately 4 hours and will use 10-15p worth of mains electric
