I did a lot of research and test rides before finally settling on the Greenedge. It is a beautifully constructed bike and quite light. It fits neatly in the back of my Mini and is easily carried without the battery. I use the bike for a short commute to work and for cycling the paths of Edinburgh. It copes with hills very well (I am a heavy man) and there is plenty of power and battery life. From a standing start it struggles uphill. A little pedal action helps this and saves the motor being over taxed. The saddle is comfortable for my style of riding and the handlebars are nicely placed in "reach". The only downside I have found is the gearing. When I am on the flat or downhill I pedal air and this can be annoying. I suspect the gears are adjusted for an unpowered bike and that in the top gear there is too much help from the motor. I would thoroughly recommend this bike. It is fully adjustable for height and folds very easily for storage. It is still quite heavy for lifting up stairs but it fits very easily (fully unfolded) into a standard lift. Although it is expensive compared to other folders, it is worth the extra for the light battery and the build quality.

My Green Edge Black Star 2 is the best folding electric bike I have ever ridden or owned, It has a lovely big Lithium Ion 36V 13AH battery onboard making it possible to do my daily commute of 24 miles. The slick black frame and the front suspension forks give me everything I need.
